Biking for Children in Care website goes live!
Date: 13th July 2007Following successful completion of the Trans-Pennine Trail from Southport to Hornsea, The Biking for Children in Care website has been launched. The idea was simply to use the site as a means of sharing photographs, but with the power of the internet, the site could become an extremely useful tool. Providing information on future events as well as stories and pictures from past adventures. The possibilities are endless! Belgium By Bike: 2008 Challenge imminent
Date: 22nd June 2008On 26th June 2008 the adventure begins (again!). We will be travelling to Lille on the Eurostar and cycling as soon as we get off. The route takes in Kortrijk, Bruges, Gent and Brussels and according to the team that did the recce, a lot of beautiful places along the way! so, we're hoping for good weather as we hit the streets and lanes of Europe.

Date: 6th July 2008So, the ride has been completed and now the serious business of collecting sponsorship begins! Pictures and stories will appear on this site over the next few weeks. Bike the Loire Valley: 25th - 30th June 2009.
Date: 12th April 2009 The training rides have started and the sponsoring has begun! The provisional route will take us from Mer to Nantes, passing through Blois, Tours and Angers, a distance of 220 miles or so. Borders Marauders: 24th - 27th June 2010.
Date: 9th July 2010 The ride is over... But planning for the 2011 cycle has begun! 2011 will be the 10th year that Biking for Children in Care have been raising money for the Who Cares Trust?What this space for updates for 2011. |
